Data Engineer - Hybrid (2 days a month) -Flexible Working G.Digital are looking for a Data Engineer to join a growing tech team and help shape innovative, data-driven solutions across multiple product markets. Based in Cumbria with flexible hybrid options, they combine the benefits of a close-knit team with the scope to innovate, learn, and deliver at scale. The Role As a Data Engineer , you’ll design and maintain robust, scalable pipelines, manage data ingestion and transformation, and ensure data is readily consumable by analysts, scientists, and stakeholders. You’ll also play a key role in governance, security, and data visualisation initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Building and optimising ETL pipelines and data workflows. Ingesting and integrating datasets from multiple sources. Supporting data modelling and analytics initiatives. Applying security and governance best practices. Developing dashboards and visualisation tools for business stakeholders. About You I need someone who: Has strong skills in Python, SQL , and handling structured/unstructured data (JSON, XML, Kafka). Is experienced with databases, data warehouses, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Understands data security and best practices in scalable systems. Can collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams. Is proactive, adaptable, and passionate about the value of data. Reach out if its for you
