Our expectationsReporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, the Advisor, Corporate Communications, participates in the planning, development, and execution of communication strategies to support the business objectives of RONA inc.The incumbent will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, as well as with various business units to create engaging strategies and content that maximize engagement with different stakeholders, both internally and externally.We are looking for a strategic, creative, innovative, and organized person who does not hesitate to dive into projects of all sizes. Your roleSupport internal clients with the development and execution of effective communication strategies that contribute to the organization's specific business objectivesBuild strong relationships with the company's stakeholders and propose effective communication strategies to position and implement key projects using targeted tactics and engaging content, both internally and externallyParticipate actively in the organization of our annual RONA Momentum event, which brings together 1,500 participantsContribute to the preparation of press kits (key messages, press releases, Q&A documents, company positioning, etc.)Create content for various internal and external communication tools, including speaking notes, videos, and large-scale corporate events throughout the yearPromote and protect the reputation of RONA inc. and its bannersParticipate in the development of business competition applicationsCoordinate communications initiatives with external service providersThe qualifications we are looking forUniversity degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline5 to 7 years of experience in corporate communicationsExceptional writing and editing skills, in both French and EnglishAbility to provide advice to internal clients and managementStrong business ethics (strict observance of confidentiality) and good judgmentAbility to understand client needs and find solutions to meet themAbility to dissect key messages and simplify information for target internal and external audiencesProven priority-setting skillsAbility to handle several projects simultaneously with tight deadlinesGreat rigour and strong attention to detailAbility to identify potential issues and risks and make recommendations to address themStrong listening, collaboration, and teamwork skillsExperience in large-scale event management (an assetExperience in the retail industry (an asset)Experience with internal communications tools including Sharepoint (an asset) By joining the RONA family, you'll enjoy many benefits, such as:A childcare centre that can accommodate up to 78 childrenA cafeteria with a delicious menu prepared by a dedicated chef, healthy options, as well as FARO Roasting Houses and Tim Hortons coffee stationsElectric car charging stationsA fitness centre, sports activities, and showersExclusive employee discounts, plus a 10% discount on store merchandise (at all RONA locations)Benefits: retirement savings plan, annual bonuses, student incentive program, etc.Career growth opportunities within the companyAn inclusive and safe working environmentPromotion of work-life balanceAn employer that's involved in the communityAnd much more!
