Junior Bookkeeper - Stock Forecasting & Control

We’re looking for a highly analytical and responsible Junior Bookkeeper whose primary focus will be stock forecasting and control. This is not your average bookkeeping role — we need someone with exceptional mathematical ability, advanced Excel skills, and a proven track record in managing stock movement and forecasting in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be a logical thinker, thrive in admin-heavy operations, and take full ownership of their area of work. Key Responsibilities Forecast stock requirements across physical inventory, packaging, and labels Perform and reconcile regular stock counts Track and manage all stock movement across departments Maintain and refine Excel-based forecasting models and inventory tools Support the Senior Bookkeeper during leave or absence Execute standard bookkeeping and administrative functions Implement and maintain paper trails and procedural documentation Handle high volumes of paperwork with precision and consistency Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to align stock levels with demand Assist with import/export documentation and processes (advantageous) Requirements Matric with strong Maths results Bookkeeping qualification or degree 3 years’ experience in Stock Forecasting and Control within a retail environment Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, forecasting models) Logical thinker with exceptional numerical ability Experience in hardware/tool retail environments (beneficial) Familiarity with import/export processes (beneficial) Own reliable transport Lives within a 30 km radius of Marlboro Gardens Age between 28 – 45 Highly responsible, process-driven, and detail-oriented Comfortable working extended hours and stepping in when needed Strong “can-do” attitude and ownership mindset
