Job Description

Maintenance Foreman Pinetown Key Responsibilities: Team Supervision & Safety: Lead maintenance personnel (plumbers, electricians, technicians, gardeners, machine operators, painters). Schedule shifts, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure workplace safety compliance. Budget & Expenditure: Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, place orders, approve invoices, and forecast maintenance needs. Equipment & Machinery: Conduct inspections, ensure optimal functionality, and address performance or safety issues. Maintenance Protocols: Develop SOPs, plan repairs/upgrades/installations, and coordinate team schedules to minimize downtime. Inventory Management: Purchase, store, and issue equipment; maintain records for audits and reporting. Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with contractors and service providers for timely maintenance, scheduling, and invoicing. Records & Reporting: Maintain maintenance logs, ensure accurate reporting, and support internal coordination. General Requirements: Standards & Procedures: Ensure compliance with company policies, proper documentation, and quality management standards. Safety & Environment: Follow OHS policies, report unsafe equipment, and use PPE consistently. Qualifications: Bachelors degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering 10 years in maintenance/repair management, including budgeting, scheduling, safety compliance, and metal pressing/automotive equipment experience. MS Word & Excel, problem-solving, communication, coaching, negotiation, conflict handling, time management, and attention to detail. Personal Traits: Approachable, calm under pressure, assertive when needed, good listener, and team-oriented.
