Job Description
Supply Chain Assistant Manager Chemuniqué (Pty) Ltd, a well-established business in the animal feed industry, has a vacancy available for a Supply Chain Assistant Manager based in Lanseria, Johannesburg. A self-motivated and proactive individual with exceptional attention to detail as well as experience in Supply Chain/Shipping, Customer Service and Procurement would be the ideal candidate. Overview and responsibilities Shipping, Sales and Distribution Administration. Negotiating with suppliers ensuring quality, and delivery schedules. Identifying new consumable suppliers and maintaining relationships with existing ones. Monitoring market trends and analysing price structures. Overseeing the preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents including import and export documentation oversight, i.e. Incoterms. Co-ordinate shipping schedules, inventories and ensuring that product stock levels are maintained. Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations. Collaborating with other departments to ensure contracts, purchases and other agreements align with company goals. Support the Logistics Team to ensure efficient and timeous stock for customer orders and advise production on what is needed. Assist with any other requirements in the department. Tertiary related qualification and Incoterms qualification essential. At least 3 years International Logistics/Supply Chain and Shipping work experience with key aspects: Import/Export administration. Sound knowledge of incoterms. Freight forwarding and clearing. Proficient in MS office (MS Word and Excel) Well organised with a flair for sound logistics administration. Essential to be an excellent communicator and strong team player.
