Purpose and Scope: This is a S2P Operational role specifically for Travel & Expense within the Americas region, responsible for the day-to-day operational performance regionally whilst always ensuring global alignment. The role holder will ensure that we are committed to operational excellence, controls and compliance. This role will also be responsible for contributing to the global S2P continuous improvement agenda ensuring we have an embedded continuous improvement mindset throughout the S2P operations. The role holder will work seamlessly with the wider S2P Pod to support the delivery of transformation activities. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Key areas in scope, but not limited to, are as follow: Operational SME : A subject matter expert for all regional sub process operations including Quality Control, Compliance, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence. Communication : Able to communicate with impacted business customer groups to understand and interpret operational user experience and convert into impactful operational improvements. Able to communicate changes to the business users and senior stakeholders. System Knowledge : A working knowledge of Concur is a must and the full suite of Ariba, SAP S4 and Service Now is a benefit Flexible Mindset : Able and willing to contribute to all operational areas of Source to Pay where required such as Contracting, Invoicing and Supplier Master. Able to manage multiple conflicting demands with confidence. Agile : Competent in agile deployment of initiatives including agile scrum experience. Able to participate as a process subject matter expert in prioritised operational initiatives as part of agile teams User Experience : Maintain customer feedback loops, translating business user experience feedback into tangible improvements and outcomes that are welcomed by the Astellas business. External Insights: Leverages external networks to continuously reference, benchmark and validate Astellas performance and uncover fresh operational improvement areas. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Works competently across Procurement, Finance, Ethics Compliance, IT, Tax and relevant business users to ensure operational activities are aligned and endorsed. Continuous Improvement: Drives efficiency across S2P through automation, AI-driven purchasing experience and seamless workflow with the right balance of business self-service. Operational Performance : Excellent collaboration with the source to pay transformation teams by enabling best in class transactional performance, high BPO (Outsourced processing service) service quality and setting externally benchmarked KPI and SLA for the relevant processes Customer Service Focus : Strong Customer Service focus being able to deal confidently with all levels and areas of the business when discussing S2P operational processes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 5 years’ experience in similar roles. Fluent in written and spoken business English and Spanish. Personal : The role requires excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to prioritize work. Fluent in written and spoken business English and Spanish.
