If you possess a keen eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and a desire to contribute to the financial health of healthcare institutions, this position may be the perfect fit for you Medical Accountant Responsibilities & Duties Manage the billing process and ensure accurate and timely patient billing Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare laws and regulations Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to streamline financial operations Develop and manage budgets for medical departments or practices Prepare detailed cost reports for medical procedures Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity Provide financial advice and risk management support to healthcare management Experience working in a healthcare setting Proficiency in medical billing and coding Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices Experience with financial software and tools Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong ethical standards and confidentiality Effective time management and organizational skills
