Electrical Systems Technician

Our client is searching for a Electrical Systems Technician to join their team in Mpumalanga KEY RESULT AREAS Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and lighting. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to modify or upgrade systems. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status, and parts inventory. Support emergency repairs and participate in on-call rotations, as needed. Diagnose electrical issues using technical drawings, schematics, and testing equipment. Managing a team of Technicians. Complying with OHASA requirements. Budget Control. REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Qualified in Electrical Trade (must have), Wireman's License (it’s an advantage, but not a necessity) Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience related on electrical and project Engineering Strong knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety standards RECOMMENDED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALITIES Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good knowledge of MV and LV equipment Advanced PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley, Siemens S 5 & 7) Good Instrumentation Knowledge Decision Making Ability Excellent Communication Skills Self-Driven Computer literate. Decision Making Ability, Task Orientated
