Job Description Job Description The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing and maintaining the production schedules for both the Metal Division and the Compression Molding Division. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth operations by coordinating production timelines, optimizing changeovers, and overseeing inventory accuracy within the production facility. This position is a salaried, non-exempt role. Essential functions include: Develop and maintain the production schedule and coordinate the necessary resources to meet or exceed customer expectations in cooperation with customers, sales, and other departments as appropriate. Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors to coordinate efficient equipment changeovers and minimize downtime. Monitor inventory levels across the production facility and address discrepancies in a timely manner. Participate in and help facilitate quarterly inventory counts within the production plant. Plan around known personnel vacation requests to maintain production efficiency and continuity. Support ongoing efforts in inventory control, ensuring accuracy between physical stock and SAP records. Communicate schedule changes effectively to all relevant departments to ensure alignment and timely execution. Review and verify ERP components daily including labor entries, materials issued, inventory transfers, scrap, and/or other data as needed. Perform inventory cycle counts and make corrections/reconciliations as needed. Skills and Abilities: 1 year of experience as a production scheduler required. MS Office skills and ERP experience required.
