Job Description
Our client is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join their team, based in Roodepoort. Successful candidate will play a pivotal role managing procurement, inventory optimisation, and supplier relationships, to support lean and cost?efficient operations. Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Management, or related field 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing—preferably in a manufacturing setting Demonstrated proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and purchase order systems. Familiarity with ERP or materials management systems is advantageous Strong quantitative and analytical skills—comfortable using Excel (e.g., cost- analysis, spend dashboards, inventory tracking) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building capabilities. Comfortable coordinating across cross-functional teams Duties:- Oversee end -to -end procurement processes: supplier sourcing, evaluation, RFQ's / RFP's, price negotiation, contract execution, and PO issuance Manage supplier performance metrics: delivery reliability, quality compliance, cost benchmarking; conduct corrective action as needed Maintain accurate inventory control and coordinate with production and logistics units to align supply with manufacturing schedules Build and maintain key vendor relationships to ensure alignment on cost, quality, lead-time, and contract terms Develop and manage cost- saving initiatives, monitor spend trends, and report procurement performance Coordinate logistics and inbound delivery planning in conjunction with operations or warehouse teams
