This unit is designed for adult patients who require additional observation to assess the severity of their condition and decide whether they need hospital admission or can be safely discharged. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse adult population in both emergency observation and admitted boarding scenarios. - Manage a high patient turnover, averaging 20 to 27 patients daily with an average length of stay of 27 hours. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team with 24/7 provider coverage to assess and address patient needs effectively. - Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret results to inform care decisions. - Ensure patient safety and comfort while providing education and support to both patients and their families. Job Requirements: - Valid Registered Nurse License in New York (NY License ONLY). - Minimum of two years of Med/Surg nursing experience. - Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. - NIHSS certification preferred.
