Finance Officer

Job Title: Finance Officer Hours: Part Time (3 days per week) Salary: £38,000-£40,000 FTE Location: Gloucestershire Robert Half is partnering with a national charity to recruit a Finance Officer on a permanent, part-time basis. Based in Gloucestershire, you'll support the Head of Finance by producing monthly management accounts, monitoring budgets, and preparing for audits and statutory reporting. Key Responsibilities Transactional Finance: Oversight of Finance Assistant's work Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset register Manage payroll and approval workflows Reporting: Produce monthly management accounts and internal reports Prepare VAT returns and statutory submissions Create financial reports for funders and external stakeholders General Tasks: Support ad hoc projects and respond to financial queries Present financial data clearly to non-financial staff Review and improve internal finance processes Help the team meet KPIs and performance targets What We're Looking For Essential: ACA, ACCA, AAT, or CIMA (qualified or part-qualified) Experience in management accounting Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Strong understanding of HMRC and VAT regulations Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Desirable: Charity or not-for-profit sector experience Familiarity with SORP, charity reserves, and VAT partial exemption Experience with Dext Prepare and Approval Max If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply today!
