Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant / Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment in Calitzdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent guest experiences, smooth front-of-house operations, managing staff, controlling stock, and maintaining high service and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day restaurant and bar operations. Manage and train staff to deliver exceptional customer service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations. Handle reservations, guest relations, and resolve complaints effectively. Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships. Implement cost control measures and monitor budgets. Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance standards are met. Develop promotions, events, and service offerings to increase sales. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and financial reports. Requirements: Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, or similar role in hospitality. Strong leadership and staff management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of stock control, ordering systems, and budgeting. Ability to work under pressure and handle fast-paced environments. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Relevant hospitality qualification (advantageous but not essential). Attention to detail with a hands-on management style.
