Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a meticulous, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to help drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data visualization, querying, and statistical analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. This role will support data-driven decision-making across our finance and executive teams. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, building reports and models, and delivering insights that help guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. This role also requires a strong foundation in finance principles, analytical tools, and data visualization techniques. Advanced English proficiency is required. Key Responsibilities Analyze financial and operational data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders. Perform variance analysis and identify drivers behind financial performance. Create financial models for revenue forecasting, cost tracking, and investment analysis. Collaborate with accounting and FP&A teams to improve financial reporting processes. Extract and transform data from ERP and BI systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Lawson, Sage, Sun Systems, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Power BI). Monitor KPIs and prepare presentations for leadership and board-level reporting. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial datasets and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability. Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI Use SQL and Python/R to query and manipulate data for ad-hoc analyses. Collaborate with business units to define KPIs and track performance metrics. Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Assist in the development of data models and pipelines for ongoing reporting. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics. Data warehousing and Power BI governance (rules and standards for use of Big Data). Advanced predictive analytics (Operations, Finance, H&S, HR). Enterprise/Corporate Performance Management and enterprise scorecards (Balanced Scorecard, Lean/Six Sigma, TQM, etc.) Management and governance of strategies, goals, objectives, metrics, KPIs/KPMs for Business Line Lead GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) aspects of BI and data management for Business Line Ad Hoc projects and analysis. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 3 years of experience in financial or business analysis, preferably in the finance or banking sector as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role. Proficiency in SQL , Excel , and financial modeling , and one or more programming languages ( Python , R, VBA ). Experience with visualization tools like Power BI , Tableau , Looker , or QlikView . Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Lawson, Sage, Sun Systems, Oracle, SAP) and data warehouses . Solid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques. Strong understanding of financial statements and key metrics (ROI, EBITDA, NPV, etc.). Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to reverse engineer excel models, PBI models, and MSSQL scripts. Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) required for drafting reports, conducting presentations, and daily interaction with English-speaking internal stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or CFA Level I/II is a plus. Experience with Python or R for data analysis. Background in risk analysis, portfolio management, or regulatory reporting (e.g., Basel, SOX). Familiarity with financial services, banking, fintech, or insurance domains. Experience with cloud platforms (SharePoint , AWS , Google BigQuery , Azure ). Familiarity with A/B testing and experimental design. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Master’s degree or professional certifications (Google Data Analytics, Microsoft DA Associate) a plus.
