TravelNurseSource is working with Patterns LLC to find a qualified Oncology RN in Moab, Utah, 84532! About The Position This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position. Anticipated schedule: Day shifts Starting pay range: $31 – 44.88/hour, DOE. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for permanent, full-time hire, with a 2-year service agreement. Responsibilities: Provides direct nursing care in accordance within established scope and standards of practice, and with the policies, procedures and protocols, values, and mission of the healthcare organization. Conducts and documents thorough assessments of patients' health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Safely administers simple to complex infusion therapy for chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatments. Monitors and document vital signs, symptoms, and overall response to treatment. Monitors for and manages side effects, both acute and chronic, and documents appropriately. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including discharge needs, initiating referrals for physical, financial, spiritual, and psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching Implements and monitors patient care plans. Participates in quality improvement initiatives May precept student nurses and new hires. Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
