Robert Half is delighted to support a leading investment firm specialising in sustainable investments, including renewable energy assets, as they look to recruit a Portfolio Accountant. The company operates collaboratively across London and Glasgow offices to create impactful investments that drive positive change and generate strong value. Role Summary: We are seeking a qualified and driven Portfolio Accountant to join the Glasgow-based Finance team.Reporting to a senior team member based in London, the role offers a unique opportunity to contribute across a portfolio of renewable energy projects and assets. Key Responsibilities: Budgeting: Development and management of financial budgets for renewable energy assets. Cashflow Forecasting: Monitoring and projecting cashflows to optimise financial operations and performance. Contract Review and Reporting: Providing financial insights for contract negotiations and ensuring accurate reporting aligned with company goals. M&A Support: Conducting financial analysis and support for merger and acquisition activities. Commercial Analysis: Deliver approx. 60% ad hoc strategic analysis and 40% recurring financial analysis to support decision-making. Skills & Qualifications: ACA/ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent). Ideally 4-5 years' post-qualification experience, which may include candidates moving straight from practice or individuals with exposure to private equity or fund-led investment environments. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a robust understanding of cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Commercial acumen to navigate complex renewable energy projects and financial strategies. Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across teams in Glasgow and other locations. Working Arrangements: Hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the Glasgow office. Quarterly travel to London office. Interview Process: Stage 1: Initial interview with senior team member. Stage 2: Case study presentation and follow up interview (details provided 24 hours in advance). Benefits: Competitive salary in a range between £50,000 - £60,000, discretionary bonus (10-20%), and standard benefits package.
