Job Description
Were looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Data & Admin Assistant to join our small, dynamic team on a mornings-only basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills, solid administrative capabilities, and experience handling applications to government departments or regulatory bodies. Youll be stepping into a role previously filled by a long-time team member who developed and managed Excel tools, handled key admin tasks, and facilitated licensing and compliance matters. Your contribution will help keep the business running smoothly and legally compliant. Key Responsibilities: Capture and process procurement and inventory data Maintain and improve Excel spreadsheets used for business operations (including formulas and macros where relevant) Assist with general admin tasks supporting purchasing, logistics, and reporting Prepare and submit applications and permits to relevant government departments and regulatory bodies (e.g. environmental or trade-related permits) Coordinate with existing team members to ensure compliance with all required regulations Work alongside and learn from our outgoing consultant during a structured handover period Requirements: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas essential; macros/VBA a bonus) Experience working with government permit or license applications (trade, environmental, agricultural, or similar fields) Excellent organizational and administrative skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently Comfortable working in a small team and adapting to a niche, hands-on industry Previous experience in admin/data roles preferred
