TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301! Pay Information $2,147 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Staffing Resources Float Pool (ICU/MS/Tele/PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in an ICU setting License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must pass dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% within two attempts Description: The unit notes include a prescreen and manager review. Clinicians must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract. Failure to score 80% in two attempts will result in being DNU for 6 months. The radius rule is 50 miles; candidates cannot be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any associated facilities within the past year. The Float Pool includes ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU. Inpatients may be holding in the emergency department. RNs will float across all campuses. The average patient census in the stepdown unit is around 20, with specific accommodations for patient care. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 in the PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele. Common diagnoses include geriatric, orthopedic, and post-procedural patients. RNs are required to titrate various drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin. Charge nurses will not take assignments in this unit. Nurse aids will be utilized in all settings. RT equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP devices. Nurses must be able to interpret cardiac strips while working with monitor techs. The schedule is made by a designated scheduler and published six weeks in advance. Travelers are expected to maintain flexibility in their scheduling. Weekend and holiday requirements include participating in staff rotations. Standby requirements may arise during shifts with excessive staff. Assigning units will be communicated via text message two hours prior to the start of shifts. Scrub colors will align with established guidelines, requiring navy scrubs. Cancellation policies are in place for contracted shifts.
