Travel Nurse RN - PACU/Pre-Post Op - $2,228 per week in Apple Valley, CA

Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 10 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in PACU License: Valid State License required; no temporary licenses accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Strong skills in dysrhythmia recognition and management. Experience in inpatient, Phase I PACU, and Phase II recovery. Experience with PICC lines. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The working hours are from 07:30 to 19:30, on a 3x12-hour schedule. The nurse will be required to take call during the assignment. Call requirements include 1 night shift per pay period and 1 weekend shift. Weekend coverage will consist of every other weekend. The nurse will care for patients aged 1 year and older with a staffing ratio of 2:1 or 1:1. Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic, spine, open heart, abdominal, urological, and nephrology cases. Special procedures may involve vasoactive drips, insulin infusions, nitroglycerin, and thrombolytic therapy. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and transportation. All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Providers may be required to use communication devices to perform their duties. Modules for training will need to be completed prior to starting and regularly thereafter.
