Job Description
Duties: Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Enforce food safety regulations, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure food quality and presentation. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste are also key functions. Monitor kitchen expenses and help manage budgets. Assist with menu development and ensuring consistent execution of recipes. Collaborate with other managers, chefs, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations. Ensuring kitchen equipment is well-maintained and functioning properly. Upholding standards for food quality, hygiene, and overall kitchen efficiency. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal culinary qualification Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager role Proven high-end restaurant / a la carte dining background Strong leadership and kitchen management skills Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and best practices Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Passion for quality, creativity, and consistency
