Key Responsibilities: - Perform CT imaging services according to established protocols and procedures. - Prepare medical, surgical, and radiological supplies necessary for procedures and maintain a sterile field. - Communicate effectively with patients and their families throughout the imaging process to alleviate anxiety and maintain privacy and dignity. - Verify patient identification in accordance with safety policies and adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy. - Observe patients before and after contrast injections, reporting any sudden changes in their condition to the nursing staff and Radiologist promptly. - Ensure that medical records, prior reports, lab results, and patient history are available prior to procedures. - Adhere to the designated CT room assignments (CT 1, 2, and 3) and maintain cleanliness and organization in the scanning rooms. - Participate in inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies, and notify the Lead of any expired or soon-to-expire items. - Perform routine cleaning of equipment and ensure proper upkeep of the CT unit and waiting areas. - Triage procedures based on urgency and coordinate scheduling for emergency and unscheduled imaging requests. - Communicate effectively with various departments regarding patient status and ensure timely patient transport post-procedure. - Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards, recognizing and reporting any unusual equipment conditions or malfunctions. - Administer venipuncture and manage power injectors while ensuring patient safety. Schedule: - Sunday through Wednesday, 9 PM to 7 AM (Overnight Shift) - Includes on-call and holiday rotation responsibilities.
