Job Description Job Description Mobile Dental Assistant / Logistics Coordinator Location: Based in Newport Beach, CA – Nationwide Travel Required PopUp Smiles is a fast-growing mobile dental practice headquartered in Newport Beach, CA , and we’re looking for adventurous, self-motivated Dental Assistants or Registered Dental Assistants to join our traveling team! This is a unique opportunity for those with a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and a team-first mentality who are open to being on the road for extended periods. What You’ll Do: Travel and drive the company van to various nationwide locations Set up and break down mobile operatories, equipment, and trays Assist dentists during procedures and prepare patients for treatment Take patient histories, vitals, X-rays (if certified), and dental impressions Prepare dental charts, materials, and temporary restorations Sterilize and maintain dental equipment Manage supply inventory and deliveries Troubleshoot on-site challenges to ensure smooth operation What We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited dental assistant program 1–2 years of dental assisting experience (or equivalent training) X-ray certification preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Willingness to travel extensively and work in a dynamic, mobile setting Travel Expectations: You’ll travel up to 28 weeks per year , including: Three extended trips per year , each lasting 6–8 weeks Four shorter trips per year , each lasting about 1 week As we grow, our goal is to add more teams to keep travel limited to this schedule. Travel Support: All travel arrangements and lodging are covered by the company. Pay & Benefits: Salary: $60,000 Bonus Eligibility for company benefit plans 40 hours of PTO per year (up to 80 hours max accrual) Paid holidays after 6 months: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas This role is perfect for someone who thrives on adventure, independence, and delivering great care outside the traditional office setting.
