Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: Lab Technician III – Multiple Shifts – Sorrento Valley, CA A global life sciences company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Technician III to join its Chemistry Manufacturing team in Sorrento Valley, CA . This is a contract role with a 1-year duration and the opportunity to gain experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Position Details: Location: Sorrento Valley, CA Contract Duration: August 5, 2025 – August 5, 2026 Shifts Available: 3rd Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM (includes regular Sunday OT, and occasional OT Friday/Saturday) 1st Shift (Schedule A): 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional weekend OT, may support 1st shift during vacations) 1st Shift (Schedule B): 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM (occasional weekend OT; earlier start on Sundays) Job Summary: The Lab Technician III plays a vital role in the manufacturing of chemistry-based products within a GMP/ISO-regulated environment. The technician will support reagent production, documentation, and process execution in alignment with production forecasts and departmental assignments. Key Responsibilities: Manufacture and process chemistry materials in compliance with ISO and GMP regulations Prepare reagents and solutions using proper laboratory techniques Support production schedules with accurate documentation and work order reconciliation Participate in departmental projects and continuous improvement efforts under supervision Contribute to production goals, including labor utilization and work order closure Collaborate with 1st and 2nd shift teams as needed to ensure workflow continuity Qualifications: Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics (must be a recent graduate, within 12 months of application) Option 2: High School Diploma or AA degree plus 3 years of GMP manufacturing or laboratory experience Preferred Skills & Experience: Familiarity with laboratory instruments and chemical handling Knowledge of reagent preparation, pipetting, testing, and lab safety protocols Understanding of QSRs and ISO 9001 regulations Basic chemistry or biochemistry principles Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities If you’re looking to expand your hands-on lab experience and contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment, apply today to join a high-impact team committed to innovation and quality.
