Job Description
Description: The Agile Acquisition Analyst (Senior) will support a Government Program Management Office (PMO) in delivering complex Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities by integrating Agile methodologies with acquisition lifecycle practices. The Agile Acquisition Analyst (Senior) will lead requirements elicitation, roadmap development, and cross-functional collaboration with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure technical solutions are aligned with mission priorities. The Agile Acquisition Analyst (Senior) will translate operational needs into actionable user stories, manage team planning and metrics, and drive execution using Agile tools and processes. Duties and Responsibilities: • Lead requirements elicitation, decomposition, and traceability in collaboration with product owners, subject matter experts, and engineering teams • Lead agile roadmap planning, backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning • Translate operational and technical needs into user stories, features, and acceptance criteria consumable by Agile teams • Maintain requirements traceability and ensure alignment with functional and technical priorities • Develop and maintain product roadmaps and project plans with defined milestones and delivery schedules • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and planning sessions across geographically dispersed teams • Coordinate with architecture, security, and functional authorities to ensure completeness and compliance of requirements • Identify and track risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation steps in collaboration with team leads • Define and monitor metrics to support performance tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement • Generate dashboards and metrics-based reporting artifacts for leadership and team execution visibility • Use Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to document tasks, update user stories, track progress, and generate metrics-based reports • Validate fulfillment of user story acceptance criteria and promote early and iterative testing across teams • Coordinate cross-functional communication with functional and technical teams to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, align priorities, and support delivery milestones • Execute program-defined processes using standardized workflows and digital tools to ensure transparency and repeatability Required Qualifications: • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in a related field, or equivalent years of experience in a field directly related to the position • 8 years of experience in a directly related to the position • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and software development life cycle practices • Agile certification (e.g., Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agilist or Scrum Master) • Experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management • Experience with Agile collaboration and development tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow) • Experience supporting large-scale DoD software acquisition programs • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and align technical delivery with acquisition and program goals • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take on a proactive role • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word), SharePoint • Must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications: • Strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to listen and understand task descriptions and requests • Ability to explain problem resolutions • Ability to quickly respond to time-critical queries from leadership If you require a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application and hiring process, please notify the hiring official or human resources representative.
