Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Garage Door Distribution Center Manager will ensure that all activities within the Distribution Center are carried out efficiently and effectively. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the daily workflow of the distribution team including receiving, storing, and shipping staff. Interviews and hires warehouse employees and supervisors. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Oversees the daily workflow of the garage door warehouse; schedule and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing. Responsible for supervising employee productivity and performance. Holds employees accountable to company policy and production standards. Customer Service Enter orders in system Customer Focus Quoting Answer technical questions Load customer pickup orders Load and deliver customer delivery orders Ordering products Enters and submits order requests to Customer Care Ensure stocking products are at goals Sales Inside sales calls Set up new customers Responsible for identifying customer prospects through utilization of Tableau Expected to contact prospects through outbound calls, asking for opportunities to grow sales Coordinate with outside sales Regional and Territory Sales Managers to align on key target prospects At times, may participate in outside sales visits with key prospects as needed Work to grow sales through existing customers by seeking to understand what else they purchase and from whom. Hiring Places orders for temp labor as workload require Hiring permanent staff Communicates corporate initiatives and projects to staff Maintains and manages inventory Maintains facility, equipment and trucks within the Distribution Center and schedules necessary maintenance. Collections Calling customers on past due Handling of NSF checks Quality control Inspects all product for damage Ensure customers get proper parts Expense control Manages weekly, monthly and yearly budgets and ensures the center operates within those budgets. Monitoring and maintain centers weekly, monthly and yearly P & L Statement. Product Install Defined by the Install Manager, assists in the timely and accurate communication of job schedules to DC Installers. Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Overhead door industry experience 3-5 years of supervisory experience Warehouse experience High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Regular attendance at work.
