Job Description Job Description Momentum PTN is currently hiring a full time Occupational Therapist (OT) . This position is located in Torrance, CA. Momentum PTN has a rich history in the South Bay community as a dedicated and forward-thinking non-for-profit clinic for children with a variety of needs. Our multi-disciplinary clinic is designed to provide our physical therapists with the opportunity to experience collaboration on a whole new level. Our therapists can work in a variety of programs including, but not limited to, early intervention programs, Early Head Start, Social Skills groups, Summer Programs and Parent Training. We also have opportunities for career growth including supervisory roles and program leads for those therapists looking to take on more. Our clinic has multiple treatment gyms, treatment spaces and a warehouse full of toys ready to use. Our physical therapy department is full of excitement to bring on new clinicians to our team to further our mission of serving children of all abilities. Occupational Therapist (OT) Essential Responsibilities: Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment Respects and promotes the right of individuals Communicate and develops effective communication with staff, parents, teachers and community partners Develops personal professional annual goals related to OT Track upcoming reports due based on the funder, (e.g., insurance authorization, IEP or IFSP meetings) Attends IEP and IFSP meetings Maintain clinic documentation in a timely fashion, including daily notes in Raintree, progress reports, and re-evaluations (vary by funder for SEIS, private pay, regional centers, insurance companies) Follows and implements company policies Attends required in-service trainings and company meetings Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs Occupational Therapist (OT) Education and Experience: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; required Current license or a limited permit for license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapist Must have at least 1-2 years’ experience in pediatrics; required Must have 1-2 years’ experience with feeding; required Occupational Therapist (OT) Ski lls and Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal skills Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required Ability to maintain confidentiality Possess sufficient patience and understanding to approach people and their desired wants and needs Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with other Requirements: Must maintain valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, drug screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs Benefits (Full-time): Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Life Assistance Program Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Paid Holidays Paid Vacation/Sick/Bereavement leave Credit Union Benefits and Discounts $750.00 Referral Bonus Program Retirement Plan (403B) Employer Sponsored Life Insurance Direct Deposit Hands-On Training Flexible Schedule Ideal Candidates: A fun and engaging personality The stamina to play hard and work hard Advocacy and problem solving A team player attitude and the drive to play an active role in helping children achieve their goals and outcomes Strong communication skills and flexibility with your approach With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Southern California and Illinois.
