Design Manager Flou

At Beyond Talent we are collaborating with a prestigious luxury Maison in Paris, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and timeless designs. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Design Manager, Flou to lead a dedicated team and shape the creative direction of the brand's flou collections. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional talent to contribute to the legacy of a globally recognized name in fashion. Responsibilities Lead and Inspire: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance. You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, setting clear goals, and managing the team's performance, to foster innovation and technical excellence. Creative Direction: Spearhead the creative process for all flou categories, including dresses, blouses, and soft separates, ensuring each piece embodies the brand's unique aesthetic and luxury standards. Strategic Collection Development: Oversee the entire collection lifecycle, from initial concept to final runway. This includes strategic fabric sourcing, intricate draping, and managing the technical development of patterns and samples to ensure a flawless final product. Cross-functional Accountability: Act as the key point of contact for the flou team, collaborating seamlessly with the Atelier, Merchandising, and Production teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful and timely execution of collections from concept to delivery, while maintaining the highest quality standards. Show & Pre-Collection Execution: Collaborate closely with the Head of Design and Design Director to translate seasonal themes into compelling flou garments for both runway shows and commercial pre-collections. Technical Expertise: Possess an in-depth knowledge of couture-level techniques, intricate draping, and a deep understanding of luxurious and delicate fabrics. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Atelier, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure the flawless execution of collections from concept to delivery. Qualifications A minimum of 6 years of experience in a senior design role, with a strong emphasis on luxury flou or couture. A proven and extensive background working specifically within the luxury fashion sector is an absolute must. Candidates without this direct experience will not be considered. A deep and technical understanding of draping, pattern making, and construction for delicate garments. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a creative team. An exceptional portfolio showcasing a strong creative vision and a history of successful collection development in flou. The ability to thrive in a high-pressure, creative environment and meet tight deadlines.
