Java Developer

Are you a Java Developer with a proven track record in developing Point of Sale (POS) solutions for large retail environments? Duties: · Develop, prototype, and implement Java-based POS solutions tailored for enterprise-scale retailers · Design, develop, and integrate UI components using Swing, HTML5, CSS · Integrate third-party systems and hardware (e.g., card terminals, fingerprint sensors, POS printers) · Work closely with SAP technologies, including idocs and other integration points · Create and maintain clear, technical documentation (UML, SDKs, Wiki, etc.) · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and subcontractors · Develop reports using Jasper Reports and iText · Contribute to design, architecture, and process improvements within the POS framework Skills: · 5 years experience in Java POS development, ideally within large retail organizations · 5 years Java enterprise development experience · Solid understanding of SAP Retail solutions and integration (idocs, RFC, etc.) · Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL · Experience using Eclipse, Spring, GWT, SVN, JUnit, and Webservices Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server · Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal · Strong business acumen and ability to engage with senior stakeholders · Bachelors degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent · Ability to work in matrix teams and international project environments Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to it.vacancy@stand-outstaffing.co.za.
