Position Summary The E-Commerce Clerk plays a vital role in the success of our e-commerce operations by processing, preparing, and listing donated items for online sale. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a high-quality online shopping experience. The E-Commerce Clerk will work closely with the E-Commerce Manager to meet production goals, ensure a clean and safe work environment, and uphold Goodwill’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities Process Donations : Sort, test, clean, and prepare quality donations for online sale, ensuring items meet high standards for e-commerce listings. Meet Production Goals : Achieve daily production targets as set by the E-Commerce Manager, maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Prepare Inventory : Organize and prepare presorted items for grand openings, existing retail stores, or e-commerce platforms. List Products Online : Accurately post items on the e-commerce website, including detailed descriptions and specifications. Photograph Items : Take high-quality photos of items to enhance online listings and attract buyers. Prepare Sold Items for Shipping : Package and prepare sold items for timely and secure delivery to customers. Dispose of Unsuitable Items : Follow agency policies to responsibly dispose of items not suitable for sale. Maintain Work Environment : Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards. Support Team Efforts : Perform additional tasks as assigned to support e-commerce and organizational goals. Qualifications Education : High school diploma, GED, or current high school student. Experience : Knowledge of quality name brands, valuables, collectibles, antiques, and vintage items preferred. Experience with personal computer operation is a plus. Skills and Abilities : Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent social competencies and customer-focused attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet production goals. Basic photography skills or willingness to learn. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or online marketplaces is an advantage. Attributes : Passion for Goodwill’s mission to empower individuals through work. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks such as sorting and packaging. Work Environment Location : Based at Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries’ e-commerce facility, 2747 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, OH 44505, with occasional support at retail or donation sites. Schedule : Flexible scheduling, including potential evening or weekend shifts, depending on operational needs.
