About The Position Registered Nurse/PCU: Duration:13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Description: Provides patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), floating between units as needed. Monitors patients with moderate to high acuity, including cardiac monitoring and critical assessments. Administers medications and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams. Ensures continuity of care and patient safety across various units. Staffing Ratios - Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. 2 Years of Experience Required Patient Age group: • Adults • Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: • Surgical Oncology: breast, thyroid, melanoma • Hepatobiliary: liver, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, neuroendocrine • Colorectal: colon, rectal cancer • Plastics: reconstructive breast cancer or sarcoma Special Procedures/Unit Details: • Chemotherapy • Blood transfusions • IV Antibiotics • Oncologic emergencies • cytokine release syndrome • Insulin drips • Heparin drips • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Certifications Required: • BLS - ACLS - NIHSS Certifications Preferred; • ONS Chemo COMPUTERIZED CHARTING: • EPIC About Accede: Accede Solutions is a Nationally Certified Search firm providing services in multiple sectors.
