Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/25/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexible Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN – MS/Tele Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Shift: 12hr Days/Nights Rotating; Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Day 3x12-Hour (07:30 - 19:30) Requirements & Qualifications: Unit Details: Facility: Comprehensive Cancer Center Hospital Size: 318 acute care beds Unit Size: 36-bed inpatient oncology units, organized by cancer diagnosis Common Float Units: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Acute Leukemia Hematology Medical Oncology Gynecological Oncology Urology Colorectal Surgical Oncology Corrections Healthcare Focus Areas: Infection prevention protocols and fall reduction initiatives Qualifications: Minimum Experience: 2 years in Med/Surg or higher acuity setting Oncology experience preferred but not required Required Certifications: ACLS BLS EMR: EPIC experience required Scheduling & Orientation: Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights) Weekend Requirement: Variable, based on unit needs Scheduling: No fixed or blocked schedules (aligned with permanent staff policy) Staff may submit preferred self-scheduling requests, which are considered before final schedules are posted Orientation: Week 1: Monday–Friday, dayshift classroom orientation Weeks 2–3: Five bedside orientation shifts with preceptor Post-orientation: Independent scheduling begins Staffing Ratios: Goal: 1:4 Maximum: Up to 1:5, depending on patient acuity and staffing levels.
