PHP is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Charleston, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 08/25/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel About the Position Position/Specialty: Outpatient Physical Therapist Outpatient focused and can be outpatient exclusively; also open to discussing inpatient rehab or acute as a component if of interest but the need is outpatient Shift: Flexible but within the hours of 7am 530pm Mon-Fri; likely 4x10s or 4x9s with an additional 4 hour shift. If caseload drops could flex to a Saturday for other areas (acute/IRF) but this would average not more than 10% of hours if at all Location: Orangeburg is the primary need but this could also be split between Santee and Orangeburg (Orangeburg is 40 minutes from Columbia and further from Charleston; Santee is an hour from Columbia but 45-50 minutes from Summerville / northern aspects of Charleston). They are about 25-30 minutes apart from each other Orangeburg hours are currently 8am 530 Mon-Thur; Fri 8-12 (can be flexible on schedule start up to 7am if of interest and the patients come) Santee hours are currently 7am 530pm Mon-Friday with varying schedules Daily Caseload: at least 1 patient per hour (10 hr day = 10-14 patients; 9 hour day 9-13 patients; etc) generally we average about 1 patient per hour; 2-4 evals can be scheduled per day generally 8-12 completed evals/week On call REQ: none Weekend REQ: rare, but the potential to support IRF or acute on weekends could flex hours to allow time off Mon-Fri and then pick up make-up hours Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities? Most floating would be outpatient across Orangeburg / Santee but the intent would be to at one location. Possibility to float to acute or IRF but only if a critical need or outpatient census drops should be extremely rare and can be open to negotiation/discussion Patient population: mostly geriatric and ortho but it is a generalist need. Occasional sports med / high school athlete and other thinks like Parkinsons, vestibular, neuro, et al Miscellaneous Local Radius: 60 miles RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. (But as long as they can flex between Orangeburg and Santee and/or acute/IRF weekends we could very easily guarantee hours) Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Hospital setting Scrub Color: Steel Grey / Pewter or business casual for outpatient; Steel Grey / Pewter acute/IRF Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Free Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: none First-time travelers accepted: (Y/N): Y License REQ: SC or Multi State Compact Physical Therapist License at the start of contract Certs REQ: BLS Required Types of Experience: outpatient Preferred Types of Experience: outpatient with some experience in acute or IRF (inpatient rehab facility) About PHP At PHP, you are always the first focus!
