Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and capable Product Manager to join us in a new role to strengthen our engagement with markets and customers across the product development lifecycle and inform our focus. The Role As a Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for framing and implementing key elements of our business’ strategy and leading the development of our customer-facing products to meet market needs. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded individual, passionate about customer experience, and experienced in leading projects from initial idea and needs analysis through to scope identification, and product or service release. What you’ll do The main duties of the Product Manager are: Develop and advise on all matters related to the product’s vision, strategy and roadmap, working closely with key internal stakeholders to align these with both Evident’s goals and our customer needs. Work with business development colleagues, external clients, and regulatory/policy makers to understand new and existing client and market needs and use this input to shape product propositions. Translate Evident’s product vision into a roadmap containing well-defined, value-driven, prioritised features that will realise customer needs, market potential, and product value, working within the company’s technical frameworks. Represent the customer’s requirements and advocate for these within the cross-functional internal change process, whilst working closely with the Engineering team to translate product requirements into system requirements in a clear and prioritised plan. Support product launches with communication plans, training and support materials. Inspire, lead, manage and mentor, a high-performing team of product specialists to continually improve, develop and enhance best-in-class products and services. About You You will : Be degree educated in a relevant discipline, such as Business or Environmental Science. Have proven experience in a Product Management role, preferably in a SaaS environment or within the sustainability sector. Demonstrate technical knowledge of energy attribute certification. Possess skills in in evaluating and balancing multiple internal and stakeholder needs to create justifiable and cohesive product development plans. Be able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity to differences in perspectives, communication styles, and work preferences. Bring well-established experience in line management. Possess experience at translating customer needs into requirements and user stories for use by development teams. Demonstrate expertise in long-term planning and road-mapping to achieve organisational goals Hold knowledge of best practices for software product management. Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation and organisation skills. Possess a customer-first mindset. Be capable of thriving in dynamic and evolving project environments, adjusting strategies and approaches as necessary to align with changing requirements or circumstances. Package Description Salary: Around £70,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience. Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday with a one-hour lunch break. Location: Sheffield, S10. Hybrid role working on-site for 2-3 days per week.
