Warehouse Operative

Reed is proud to be partnering with a well-established company based in Portishead, North Somerset . This business operates within the conference and live events sector, providing technical production services and logistical support for events across the UK and Europe. They are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse/Stores Operative/Handy Person to join their small, friendly team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in the smooth running of their storage operations and the successful delivery of event equipment. Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: £25k - £30k dependent on experience Key Responsibilities Receiving Deliveries: Unloading, checking, and storing incoming goods and equipment. Dispatch & Collections: Preparing and loading equipment for outgoing jobs and collections. Stock Control: Counting, monitoring, and reordering stock to ensure availability. Kit Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of AV and event equipment for use on-site. Loading & Unloading Vans: Ensuring safe handling and transport of equipment. Occasional Site Support: Occasionally accompanying installers to event sites to provide assistance (rare but appreciated). General Duties: Keeping the area clean, organised, and operating safely. Ideal Candidate Trustworthy & Dependable: Comfortable working independently and handling valuable equipment. Team Player: Willing to support colleagues and help out across the business when needed. Physically Fit: Capable of manual handling and active work. Organised & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage stock and prepare kit accurately. Flexible: Happy to adapt to early starts and shifting priorities when required.
