Class 2 SCV Driver

Job Description: Class 2 Driver Location: Haydock Shift Pattern: 5:00 am to 3:00pm Key Responsibilities: Operate Class 2 vehicles, similar to council bin lorries. Safely attach bins to the back of the vehicle and tip contents as required. Follow a pre-determined route schedule to complete all collections in a timely manner. Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service where interaction is required during collection duties. Requirements: Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with no more than 6 points (no DR or IN endorsements). Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. A minimum of 6 months of Class 2 driving experience is preferred, but training can be provided for less experienced candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn. Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling of bins. Familiarity with health and safety protocols related to driving and waste management.
