Interim Audit & Year-end accountant

Job Title: Interim Year-End Accountant - Bristol (Outside IR35) Location: Bristol (3-4 days on-site) Contract Type: Interim (Outside IR35) Start Date: ASAP Duration:Until completion of year-end/audit Daily Rate: Competitive We are currently seeking a qualified accountant to support one of our Bristol-based clients through their year-end and audit process. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone with a strong technical background, preferably with audit experience, who can take ownership of the process from preparation through to post-audit wrap-up. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full audit cycle: pre-audit preparation, audit liaison, and post-audit resolution Ensure all financial statements and documentation are audit-ready Collaborate with internal teams to meet tight deadlines and resolve technical queries Provide expert guidance on accounting standards and compliance Candidate Requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with an audit background Proven experience managing audits and year-end processes Self-sufficient, deadline-driven, and able to work collaboratively on-site Additional Information: Bristol-based role with a preference for 3-4 days per week on-site Outside IR35 contract with a competitive daily rate Immediate start available If you are available and interested in discussing this opportunity further, please contact Charlie Maidment from the Hays Bristol Senior Finance Interim & Project Team.
