Management Accountant

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a well-established and growing Agricultural group to recruit a hands-on & dynamic Management Accountant to join their growing team in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. A growth role for the organisation that will work closely with the Financial Controller, covering a broad scope of tasks from management accounts preparation, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis to year-end preparation & business partnering. Open to both part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountants or finance professionals who are qualified by experience. Your new role Your key duties will involve ensuring the maintenance of financial records throughout the year, assisting with maximising company cash flow, along with supporting the Financial Controller to develop future strategies to enable further business growth. You will perform financial analysis to help aid business decisions, proactively support cost management processes to mitigate any risks, along with supporting process/system improvement projects. You will prepare management accounts for a range of entities; cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting/forecasting, through to year-end preparation & statutory accounting. You will be involved in business partnering to explain the financial impacts to non-financial management along with ad-hoc projects/duties to support Senior Management. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this permanent Management Accountant role you will need experience in a similar position, ideally part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience. Strong MS Excel skills, key experience with financial systems, willing to learn and adapt to business needs, along with a can-do attitude to problem-solving. You will have strong communication skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and other internal departments. A desire to support process and system improvement, make suggestions for efficiencies and be comfortable challenging others within the organisation to enable further business growth. You will have effective organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Experience within the agricultural or farming sectors would be advantageous but not essential. What you'll get in return This permanent Management Accountant role offers a salary between £35,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
