Key Requirements: Eligibility to work in the UK An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Experience working with secondary-aged students (11-16), ideally in a school setting Key Skills Classroom management Behaviour management Timekeeping and punctuality Team collaboration Empathy and patience Professional communication Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of teaching staff Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences Ensure students remain on task with their learning Implement school behaviour and safeguarding policies Record attendance and report absences appropriately Manage classroom behaviour calmly and effectively Liaise with teaching staff and heads of department regarding cover work Encourage students to engage in tasks and participate in learning Report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant designated staff Support students in understanding the lesson content What We Offer: A supportive, collaborative working environment.
