Nurses may be scheduled for day shifts, night shifts, or a combination of both based on department needs. Shift assignments are evaluated every four weeks, but changes are not guaranteed and depend on staffing priorities. Candidates must be flexible, as there is no set schedule or weekend assignments. Staff will provide care primarily to patients with continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy. The role includes managing soft tissue malignancies, symptom management, and comorbidity management. Infection prevention protocols and fall prevention will be emphasized. Special equipment includes telemetry systems and various monitoring and infusion devices. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Candidates are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; however, a flu vaccine is required with medical exemptions accepted.
