Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of Operating Room experience License: Must hold a valid nursing license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Client experience - Transplant experience - General Surgery experience - Gynecology (GYN) experience - Orthopedic experience Description: SENSITIVE UNIT: Please ensure candidates have reviewed all details in the job description. This unit requires a minimum of three years of Operating Room experience prior to travel. Candidates must have expertise in Client, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic procedures. Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Client, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics. Weekend and call shifts are variable and will be discussed during the interview. Floating within the facility/scope of practice and to Outpatient as needed is required. Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit; candidates who pass will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work. If two major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant, there will be a pushback of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate. References from two supervisory individuals are highly preferred at the time of submission. Candidates must be available to submit required items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start. Return travelers must complete one successful assignment outside the previous facility before rebooking at a new location. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during orientation. Modules will be recorded via transcripts.
