Job description Overview Our client in Northampton are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in upholstery, demonstrating proficiency in both traditional and modern techniques. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting high-quality upholstered products. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into beautifully finished items that meet our clients' specifications. Shift pattern: Monday-Friday 06.00-15.00 Duties Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, sew, and assemble upholstery materials. Fabricate and upholster office furniture, including chairs, sofas, and other items as required. Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products during the manufacturing process. Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring all items meet company standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Experience Proven experience in upholstery or a related field is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of various tools and equipment. Familiarity with sewing techniques and fabric types is essential. Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
