EU Road Freight Forwarder

Salary: Circa £34,000 (DOE) Contributory Pension Hours: Monday to Friday Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced operations professional in the freight forwarding or UK transport sector? We are working on behalf of a leading international logistics provider that is looking to appoint a UK & European Operations Co-ordinator to join their thriving team. Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Modern working environment: New purpose-built offices and warehouse facilities Financially robust business: Part of a large group with consistent performance and growth Supportive team culture: Be part of a vibrant team of professionals where your voice is heard Diverse client portfolio: Work with a mix of SMEs and global blue-chip companies Career variety: Engage in a broad range of responsibilities from warehousing to client interaction Key Responsibilities: Manage daily bookings for UK & European road transport services Coordinate warehouse operations including goods in/out and stock management Handle customs clearance processes (import and export) Operate a forklift (training provided if needed) Provide quotations and manage customer communications Liaise with transport suppliers for bookings and rate negotiations Collaborate with the sales team on service proposals Process and invoice jobs using Fast Freight software Attend team meetings to discuss operations, challenges, and performance metrics What We're Looking For: Proven experience in European freight forwarding or UK transport operations (essential) Prior warehouse experience and a forklift licence (or willingness to train) Strong background in customer service and/or rate negotiation Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail Ability to problem-solve and manage workloads under pressure Self-motivated, energetic, and team-oriented individual WR Logistics are the 1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
