Various Teams across Wigan & Leigh Salary: Apprentice Corporate Rate (NLW) £12.21 per hour 37 hours per week Temporary for 18 months We're on a journey to build a workforce reflective of our Borough. Are you looking to gain valuable skills and knowledge whilst completing a recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification? If you answered YES, exciting Team Wigan Business Apprenticeship opportunities are now available, working within various teams across Team Wigan. Your role: You will be expected to provide a full and comprehensive administrative support service to your designated team. This will involve dealing with internal and external customers both face to face and on the telephone, operating a variety of ICT systems and providing general administrative support to the team. You will also be required to spend a proportion of your time undertaking a relevant Level 3 Business Administration qualification and will gain a range of skills and experience whilst learning from your colleagues and training professionals. Your apprenticeship will be spent with the Strategic and Private Sector Housing Team. We are a diverse and dynamic housing service, providing a range of support and incentives to help local residents access affordable housing, and to live warm, safe and well in their own homes. We also work on a range of projects, policies and strategies to help ensure housing provision meets local needs, and to drive up the standards of privately rented housing. An Apprenticeship with the team will provide a great introduction to a broad range of housing initiatives, with opportunities to connect to various Council services. About you: You will be eager to learn, develop and grow and committed to providing excellent customer care. You will have good communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with internal and external colleagues. You will work independently and manage your own time and deadlines whilst working as part of a team. As part of your learning, you will network with colleagues completing the Team Wigan Business Apprenticeship and support each other on your apprenticeship journey.
