Accounts Assistant Engineering Sector Location: East Grinstead (Must be a car driver due to location) Salary: Up to £25,000 DOE Regular Salary Reviews Hours: Flexible 8:30am4:30pm or 9:00am5:00pm (with 1-hour lunch) Contract: Full-time Lloyd Recruitment Services is delighted to be working with a well-established engineering company near East Grinstead, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy office environment and enjoys working as part of a friendly, supportive team. Key Responsibilities: Managing purchase and sales ledgers (invoicing, payments, receipts) Bank reconciliation and basic accounting tasks Preparing payroll data and sales commissions for external accountants Ensuring compliance with supplier insurance and order registers Processing client account applications and purchase orders Maintaining internal records: invoices, orders, budgets, quotations, and personnel files Monitoring vehicle checks, mileage sheets, and maintenance schedules Supporting credit control and general administrative duties Communicating with clients and handling incoming queries professionally Updating multiple internal systems and databases Providing general administrative support to managers and staff Key Requirements: Proven experience in a finance/accounts assistant role (essential) Proficiency in Sage Line 50 (essential) Experience with accountancy package (advantageous but not essential) Strong attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach Excellent verbal and written communication Refer a friend and you will receive a retail voucher of your choice up to the value of £500.
