HGV 2 Driver/Supervisor

Overview We are recruiting a HGV 2 Driver & Supervisor to join a small, experienced team working for a worldwide distribution client based in Southampton. All deliveries will be on pallets and drivers will be completing between 2-3 drops per day and then assisting with organising logistics and paperwork in the depot for the following days. Duties Working 40hrs per week Monday-Friday with 1x weekend day every other week. Start time will be 4am Load and unload cargo, ensuring that goods are secured properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by the company. Upon return, complete relevant paperwork and book loads, liaise with the warehouse team and plan the following day. Oversee and assist with the daily logistics for the branch. Requirements Valid commercial driving licence (CE or equivalent) with no more than 3 points on a Full UK driving licence. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. This role permanent and there is parking on site and a discount on produce.
