Job Description

We are looking for a Product Owner to join the Frontier team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fully homebased role but there will be a requirement to attend sites when needed. As a Product Owner for our Digital Applications , you will be accountable for the successful delivery and continuous improvement of one or more customer-facing or internal digital products. You will work closely with Agile delivery teams, stakeholders across the business, and technical leads to ensure that product development is focused on real user needs, aligned to strategic goals, and delivers measurable value. Cycle to Work Scheme, employee retail discount scheme and free eye test vouchers About You You are an experienced and delivery-focused Product Owner , confident in leading the development of web and native applications from concept through to live product. You are passionate about understanding customer needs, translating them into user stories, and working closely with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements. You have experience of managing backlogs, making data-informed decisions, and engaging a wide range of business stakeholders. Youre a strategic thinker whos comfortable being hands-on, balancing short-term delivery with long-term product goals. Must have: 5 years of experience in data product management, data analytics, data engineering or a related role. Product owner certification e.g. PSPO, CSPO or equivalent. Working in Agile / Scrum / SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment. Experience in project delivery and/or as a senior business analyst in web and native application delivery. Prior experience in a global matrix-driven environment, collaborating with multiple suppliers and project teams. Experience managing cross-functional teams, assessing their priorities whilst aligning to the data platform strategy. Excellent senior / executive stakeholder management skills must be extremely comfortable communicating and presenting to senior stakeholders. Comprehensive knowledge of software development principles, including governance, quality, security, and lifecycle management. Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g. GDPR) Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Desirable Understanding industry trends and best practices. Managing vendors in the delivery of projects. Experience of working in a vertically integrated business environment. Your Role As the Product Owner for Digital Products , you will: Own and manage the product backlog for digital products. Collaborate with Agile Scrum Teams to define, prioritise, and deliver web & native applications. Translate business and data user needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. Work closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and governance leads to ensure high-quality, trusted data. Champion data governance, quality, and accessibility across the organisation. Align platform capabilities with strategic business objectives and evolving stakeholder needs. Monitor usage, adoption, and data performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Function as the voice of the customer and business in all stages of product development. Ensure compliance with data protection, regulatory, and internal standards.
