Planner Jr (Planta Sur)

The Production Planner Jr. is responsible for supporting the planning and coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure timely production and delivery of products. This role assists in developing production schedules, tracking progress, resolving scheduling issues, and collaborating with various departments to maintain an efficient production workflow. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Scheduling Support: Assist in preparing and updating daily and weekly, production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels. Coordinate with senior planners to align production plans with material availability and labor capacity. 2. Monitoring & Reporting: Track the status of work orders and report any delays, issues, or deviations from the plan. Prepare reports on production output, plan adherence, and potential bottlenecks. 3. Inventory Coordination: Help ensure materials and components are available for scheduled production runs. Work with the warehouse and procurement teams to monitor raw material inventory. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations. Communicate scheduling changes or disruptions to all relevant stakeholders. 5. Problem Solving: Assist in resolving daily production issues such as equipment breakdowns or material shortages by escalating them appropriately. Suggest improvements for production scheduling and planning accuracy. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of production processes and supply chain principles. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams. Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn. Career Path: This role is an entry point into production and supply planning. With experience and strong performance, a Junior Production Planner may advance to roles such as Production Planner, Supply Planner, or Production Scheduling Analyst.
