Mexico Job Summary Reports To: Vice President of Operations Location: Mexico — Responsible for four manufacturing plants Direct Reports: Plant Staff (e.g., Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR) Span of Control: ~800 employees Role Overview The Senior Operations Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of manufacturing operations across four Mexican facilities. You will ensure operational excellence through standardized execution, continuous improvement, compliance, and performance management. The role requires close partnership with corporate functions and direct management of Manufacturing Plants, aligning plant-level execution with broader corporate strategy. Payroll Open to Mexico or USA Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate operations across multiple sites for example: demand planning, production scheduling, capacity, logistics, quality and output. Drive Key Performance Metrics across all aspects of the business utilizing team-based approach and lean strategic aspects. Oversee compliance with safety (EHS), regulatory, and quality standards across all facilities. Implement and sustain Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or related continuous improvement systems. Develop operational budgets, cost control strategies, and P&L accountability. Align with HR and labor relations on workforce planning, training, retention, and engagement. Guide capital projects, expansions, and equipment upgrades. Act as a complete business owner handling customer / supplier visits and accountability for all items appropriate to the success of the plants Build leadership capability and succession across all plants. Manage operational risk and escalation response. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or relevant field. MBA or Master’s preferred. 15 years of manufacturing and operations leadership, including multi-site oversight and direct management of plant-level leaders. Demonstrated success in Lean/Six Sigma/TPM deployments in high-output production environments. Strong financial acumen, operational strategy, and analytical capability. Fluent in Spanish and English; excellent communication and stakeholder management. Willingness to travel regularly across all four facilities in Mexico.
