Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a jack of all trades with experience in multiple aspects of maintenance, repair, and facilities upkeep. You will be responsible for ensuring our property remains in excellent condition by handling routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and conducting necessary repairs. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Troubleshoot and fix issues related to building infrastructure and equipment. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functionality. Handle basic landscaping tasks, such as lawn care, hedge trimming, and snow removal. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, employees, or management. Assist with remodeling or renovation projects as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety and building codes. Requirements: Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related field. Proficiency in at least a few of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance repair, or general construction. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus. We opened our doors in October 2000, providing quality products with fast delivery times. The response we received was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. We conduct business globally from our headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA. The Beginning It all began with an idea in 1999 to supply new surplus instrumentation that would be competitive in quality, price and delivery. With over 25 years of combined experience, we knew it could be done. In early 2000 our dream started taking shape when we purchased a full inventory of instrumentation from a failing calibration company. We quickly became a valued source of many high respected companies, such as NASA, MOBIL, Exxon, Air Liquide, Alaska Airlines, Dominion Nuclear, Detroit Edison, Bechtel, Rolls Royce, ECT We always gave any Military order top priority and understand their needs. The Present This year we celebrate our 10th anniversary and we continue to grow each year. Our staff is well trained professionals that take pride in their work. Many state they will never leave. We are constantly replenishing our inventory and with over 2000 indicators in stock, we are able to supply products for customers in the oil, power, military, commercial and cryogenic industries in a timely manner. We pride ourselves in the high quality of our products and our exceptional customer service. Sourcing instrumentation and putting together instrumentation packages is our business. We also own a machine shop with 7 CNC mills and lathes for custom manufacturing on premises. Our calibration lab uses custom designed high accuracy pressure control calibration equipment made by Ruska, Druck, Mensor, Hiese and HP.
