HGV Class 1 Driver

NEED 2 years experience - various jobs available in the Bradford area due to holiday cover and sickness cover. Starts times are normally 6.30am but could vary depending on the client requirements for the day booked weekly and some ad hoc work. Duties Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Deliver goods to designated locations while following planned routes and schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while on the road. Experience Valid C license with an in-date CPC and Digi card. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service throughout the delivery process.
